OneAmerica CEO Joins ACLI Board of Directors

The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), whose member companies provide solutions for Americans’ financial and retirement security needs, elected OneAmerica® President and CEO J. Scott Davison to its board of directors. 

“Scott’s leadership in the industry, combined with his knowledge and dedication to Americans’ financial and retirement security, make him an invaluable addition to our board of directors,” said ACLI President and CEO Dirk Kempthorne. “I look forward to working with Scott in support of the industry and the 75 million American families it serves.”

Mr. Davison’s 30-year career in the insurance industry began at UNUM, where he served in a variety of roles, including chief financial officer of UNUM’s Duncanson & Holt reinsurance subsidiary. 

In 2000, Mr. Davison joined OneAmerica as vice president of strategic planning and corporate development. In 2004, he was appointed chief financial officer. The Indianapolis Business Journal named him CFO of the Year in 2008. He was named president and CEO in 2014. 

Mr. Davison also serves on the boards of LL Global and the Million Dollar Roundtable Foundation. He also is a trustee of The American College of Financial Services. He is a board member of Indiana University Health, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership and the Indiana Sports Corporation. 

He earned a bachelor of arts in economics and history from Middlebury College and an MBA from the University of Southern Maine. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School’s advanced management program.
