Best part of your internship: Interacting and collaborating with groups of people. On my first day, I had six meetings, so it was good to learn about how different people work. How we work at OneAmerica is very different from academic work!

Describe OneAmerica culture in one word: Collaborative. My team is being built from scratch, and we have to be collaborative with many other teams.

Best piece of advice you were given during your internship? On my first day, I was told to remember that both user experience and user interface are important, and they overlap. When talking with other people at OneAmerica, how I described those disciplines was important in any conversation.

If your department was a TV show, movie or song, what would it be and why? Friends because my team we worked very seriously, but we had fun outside of work and good conversations. And there was a lot of coffee drinking.

What tip would you give to those interviewing for internships next summer? Be really open to every experience. I was very specific in selecting my industry. Coming to OneAmerica was very different for me because it is a financial company.
