TIM BISCHOF

Senior Vice President and Chief Actuary

Tim BischofTim Bischof manages valuation, modeling, reinsurance, asset liability management and actuarial reporting. In addition, he provides pricing and inforce oversight. Bischof is also accountable for the actuarial development programs.

Prior to coming to OneAmerica® in June 2020, Bischof served in multiple positions at CNO Financial Group, including roles as corporate actuary, chief risk officer and head of corporate development. His responsibilities included overseeing asset liability modeling, valuation, projections, modernizations, controls and model governance, reinsurance, acquisition and divestitures, planning, risk analysis and governance and actuarial programming. Before his time at CNO, he worked at Indianapolis Life Insurance Co./AmerUs and as part of CIGNA Corp’s Actuarial Executive Development Program.

Bischof is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He has been an active participant in Life Office Management Association (LOMA) and Society of Actuaries (SOA) committees and a steady speaker at industry events. He earned a master’s degree in statistics from the University of Iowa and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and education from Rockhurst University.

 

KELLEY GAY

Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer

Kelley GayAs senior vice president and chief marketing officer (CMO) for OneAmerica, Kelley Gay leads the company’s overall marketing, communications and stakeholder experience strategy, driving exceptional brand experiences and business results across the enterprise.

With nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, Gay has served OneAmerica in various leadership capacities for more than a decade. Currently as CMO, Gay oversees marketing, executive, internal and external communications, digital experiences, market visibility, brand management, customer relationship management, reputation management, custom marketing and financial wellness programming, marketing operations and portfolio strategy, and customer experience management.

As of enterprise marketing and communications, Gay has played a key role in shifting OneAmerica to a customer-centric organization enabling the enterprise to meet and exceed the expectations of its stakeholders. In addition, her leadership has helped raise the company’s and business lines’ market visibility by aligning marketing, digital, communications and brand experiences to core strategic objectives — ultimately aiding in the growth of new business and retention. In previous appointments at OneAmerica, Gay held multiple marketing leadership positions for the enterprise as well as for the Individual Life and Financial Services and Retirement Services business lines.

Before joining OneAmerica, Gay held several marketing leadership roles at MassMutual Financial Group, focusing on building customer relationships with emerging consumer segments, career agency and independent brokerage marketing and product and services marketing. Gay began her career in financial services as a brand promotion consultant and Phoenix Home Life communications professional and was a licensed financial advisor with Smith Barney.

Gay received her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Connecticut, where she also earned Big East All-Academic Team awards as a member of the basketball team from 1994-1998. Playing on the 1995 NCAA Women’s Basketball Champion 35-0 team was among her college career highlights. These days, youth charities, women’s issues, diversity and inclusion advocacy, as well as business and leadership coaching, are her passion. She and her husband, David, have three children. In her spare time, she is engaged in community and nonprofit activities, enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running and public speaking.

 

JOE INGREAM

Senior Vice President and Head of Employee Benefits

Joe IngreamAs senior vice president and head of Employee Benefits for OneAmerica, Joe Ingream is responsible for all aspects of the company’s group benefits business, including overseeing strategy, distribution, underwriting, product development and service.

Ingream joined OneAmerica in 2022, bringing more than 20 years of group-benefits leadership experience. He was vice president and head of operations for Prudential’s group insurance segment, among other executive positions there. He’s a former board member of the Integrated Benefits Institute. Before joining Prudential, Ingream was with Aetna, where he led the absence and disability benefit management organization, among other roles.

Prior to working in the insurance industry, Ingream spent 14 years as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy, specializing in clinical pathology. He earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and an MBA from the University of Portland in Oregon.

Ingream lives in Scarborough, Maine, with his wife, Stacey, and three daughters. He volunteers with the local education foundation and as a youth coach. He’s also a board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Maine.

 

JOSÉ MARTÍNEZ

Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer

Jose Martinez of OneAmericaJosé V. Martínez is the senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO) for OneAmerica. In this role, he is accountable for all IT planning, program and support functions. He has over 20 years’ experience in the IT sector and extensive experience in strategic sourcing, vendor management, relationship management, project management, and IT engineering design and support. Prior to this appointment, he served at OneAmerica as vice president, IT infrastructure and application support, and vice president, business relationship management and enterprise architecture.

Since joining OneAmerica in 2014, José has led multiple strategic initiatives to transform the IT support model. In 2014, he led the OneAmerica contract negotiations and transition of services from the prior infrastructure outsource service provider to the current provider. In 2016, he was part of an executive team that led an end-to-end reorganization effort within IT to shift to a Plan-Build-Run delivery model, creating new IT functions such as business relationship and service management.

Prior to joining OneAmerica, José served as vice president, communications as a service for Interactive Intelligence, managing all datacenters worldwide for the company’s cloud product. In addition, he served as a senior global delivery executive at IBM, accountable for the delivery of a broad range of IT outsourced services for corporate clients.

José holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also completed an advanced management executive program from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

 

CHRIS POHL

Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

Chris PohlChris Pohl serves as senior vice president and chief human resources officer, leading the design and execution of talent strategies that enable achievement of OneAmerica® enterprise objectives and priorities.

Pohl steers teams responsible for people initiatives, including nurturing culture; maturing development, training, and performance management capabilities; creating market-competitive pay and benefit programs; recruiting and onboarding new leaders and associates; and managing essential HR services such as processing payroll, administering health and retirement benefits, addressing associate matters, and maintaining information systems.

Before bringing his passion for people to the human resources team in 2019, Pohl served for more than five years as chief audit executive of OneAmerica, leading the internal audit and fraud risk management teams. Previously he was vice president of financial operations, responsible for corporate accounting, cost and budget, treasury, producer compensation and licensing, and separate accounts. Known as an energetic and enthusiastic leader, Pohl focuses on continuous improvement of the enterprise and exceptional service to all stakeholders. Prior to joining OneAmerica in 2010, Pohl served as a corporate finance executive at Anthem and a senior manager at Deloitte. He received his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Michigan and holds a bachelor’s in accounting from Michigan State University. He is acknowledged by the Society for Human Resource Management as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP), and is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Pohl is married to Candice, his high school sweetheart, and has three children. He is an avid runner and enjoys participating in long distance races across the country.

MARK SCALERCIO

Senior Vice President, Head of Distribution, ILFS

Mark ScalercioIn his role with the company’s Individual Life and Financial Services (ILFS) line of business, Mark Scalercio will lead ILFS sales and distribution across all channels, aligning sales teams and distribution partners with innovative growth strategies. He’ll focus on leveraging digital operating platforms to promote advice-driven customer value and cultivating a diverse distribution network.

Prior to joining OneAmerica® in 2020, Scalercio served as the national head of sales at RiverSource Life Insurance Company, which manages the insurance and annuities business for Ameriprise Financial. Before that, he worked in retirement services as a senior vice president at AXA Equitable and The Hartford. Scalercio had previously served as the national head of sales for Sun Life of Canada/MFS Retirement Services before the company merged with The Hartford. He and his colleagues also founded a distribution company, LifeSource, which was later acquired by BYSIS/Crump.

Scalercio received his bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. As a sales leader, his passion is finding new market opportunities, growing and diversifying distribution channels and leveraging data. Scalercio lives in Denver, Colorado, where he enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, skiing, fishing and golf.

 

DAVID M. WEISENBURGER

Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer

David Weisenburger is the senior vice president and chief investment officer of the companies of OneAmerica®. He manages a staff responsible for more than $21 billion of investments for all the OneAmerica affiliates.

He has more than 33 years of experience in investments, including fixed-income research and portfolio management, equity research and portfolio management, as well as derivatives trading for replication and hedging.

Weisenburger’s previous roles at OneAmerica include vice president, Investment Strategy & Risk; vice president, Fixed Income Securities and vice president, Marketable Bonds where he helped manage and grow a credit portfolio of nearly $17 billion in high-grade and high-yield public and private corporate securities.

Before joining OneAmerica in 2007, Weisenburger served as vice president and senior portfolio manager at Ohio Casualty Group and as managing director, Fixed Income and Derivatives, at Summit Investment Partners.

Weisenburger received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Cincinnati and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. Sharing his knowledge with the community, he serves on the investment committee for Shepherd Community Center, an organization working to break the cycle of poverty in Indianapolis. In his free time, Weisenburger enjoys golf, sports, traveling and spending time with his wife, Lori, and family.
