Michie, Wilkinson earn promotions to OneAmerica SVP

OneAmerica today announced two internal promotions to key senior leadership positions. 

Andrew Michie (left in photo) is now senior vice president and controller, and Andy Wilkinson is now senior vice president and managing principal, McCready and Keene.

The announcement follows a record growth year for OneAmerica. 

In 2015, strong sales across all divisions and the largest acquisition in the company’s history added $25.8 billion in assets under administration, while GAAP revenues rose to a record $2 billion.

The company also reached an important milestone by paying a record $3.9 billion in benefits to customers in 2015. 

“Enterprise growth not only generates new jobs, but it also creates new career opportunities,” said Scott Davison, president and CEO. “It’s not often that OneAmerica elevates people to the senior vice president level, but we’re focused now more than ever on recognizing and developing our most important assets – our associates. These promotions acknowledge the major contributions that Andrew and Andy are already making as part of our senior leadership team.”

Michie joined OneAmerica in November 2012 as vice president and controller, coming from CUNA Mutual Group, where he was senior vice president, corporate finance.

He played key roles in recent OneAmerica acquisitions, and under his leadership, the Corporate Finance division has achieved new levels of excellence.

Wilkinson (right in photo) began his career at OneAmerica in 1983 as an actuarial student at The State Life Insurance Company®. He joined American United Life Insurance Co. (AUL)® in 1989, serving in leadership positions in the Reinsurance and Individual Life divisions. In 1998, he joined Retirement Services and has been a key leader in the significant success and growth of the division. Recently, he helped develop and launch the company’s Pension Risk Transfer business, which has led to more than $500 million in sales.

Wilkinson had been named vice president and managing principal, McCready and Keene, in 2011.
