OneAmerica Rolls Out Road Show to Promote Financial Wellness

The retirement services division for the companies of OneAmerica this week is kicking off a coast-to-coast financial wellness road show featuring USA Today columnist 'Pete the Planner' designed to urge consumers to get financially fit.

The six-city tour opens with appearances in Denver, Colorado on Oct. 14 and Dallas, Texas on Oct. 15, and concludes Nov. 17 in Nashville, Tennessee. Peter Dunn, consistently rated as a top-five influential financial broadcaster in the nation, is talking to OneAmerica advisors and plan sponsors at each stop about the importance of financial wellness in making retirement-ready employees. He is also taking time to meet with interested journalists.

“Consumers say the idea of financial wellness in our spend-first, save-last society is a daunting task, but Pete is great about motivating people to rethink their purchase priorities and focus on the future, so they can retire with more security,” said Bill Yoerger, President of Retirement Services at OneAmerica. “We feel it’s never too late for a person of any age to make change.”

Dunn, of Carmel, Indiana, has been working with OneAmerica clients while also urging businesses to focus on employees' financial wellness.

Today may include addressing consumer debt, creating a household budget, establishing an emergency fund, and so forth.
